Cameron Rossi, originally from the Isle of Wight, is making great strides as a professional musician and is now a powerful, accomplished and versatile saxophonist greatly admired by his peers. Amongst his many other ongoing projects, he retains an impressive Isle of Wight rhythm section of Tom Barker (piano), Jon Thorne (double bass) and Chris Jones (drums). With 2026 being the centenary of John Coltrane's birth, Cameron's quartet will perform a repertoire largely influenced by Coltrane's works and recordings. It is always an aim of ours to feature musicians at the festival who have a connection with the Isle of Wight, and five of the ten headline gigs this year have a connection with the Isle of Wight in some shape or form.
